Yes, that happens all the time over here. I am the sole caretaker of the kids all day every day and then DH will give DS a lollipop at 9pm.

Oh that irritates me so much! We've talked a lot about this and decided that if one of us is doing something with the kids, the other doesn't say a word in front of them. We can debate it after the kids are out of range, but not in front of them. I feel like that's what makes kids think it's ok to do the whole "Mom said no so I'll ask Dad" thing.

Exactly. He thinks it's ridiculous that Riley is bottomless around the house, but he never makes it to the bathroom if he's in undies because he's not coordinated enough to get them down in time.

So I said fine, put undies on him then and if he has an accident we go back to my method. Not even an hour later he has an accident. I didnt say a word.

Yep he is, and hasn't had an accident since! First skill to master is getting it in the potty, then he can work on undies and pants.
