When did you engage?

Sorry if there is already a bazillion posts about this.

How many weeks were you when you first found out that your baby had engaged/dropped/moved into your pelvic bones/faced down? And when did you notice your belly dropped?

Then how long after that did you go into labour?

Caitlyn has had a very smooth pregnancy (touch wood) and Blake was at the first stage of engagement at 30 weeks and between the second and third stage at 33 weeks. Stage 4 is labour and 5 is hes out. I also noticed today that her belly has dropped very low. She is only just 35 weeks. She started leaking colostrum over a month ago now and her breasts look like they are starting to fill. Caitlyn also mention she feels she is going to go into labour soon as in the next 1-2 weeks. I figure she knows her body best.

Ive felt the whole time that he is further along than the midwife thought. The last scan was 21 weeks.

Is this just me being a silly goose and wanting him to hurry up and get here or could I be along the right track?

i didn't engage untill i was in labour. baby was head down and going the right way and was almost there for the last 10 weeks. but didn't actually engage untill my waters broke and i went into labour. My belly looked incredibly low the last two weeks as if he was engaged and everyone said i was gonna have him any second. lol. But no. He was 3days late.

When did he run out of room? Because Blake ran out 2 weeks ago and Caitlyn is in so much pain. We dont do much because she cant. Her "womb" and nipples are so bad.

i'm not sure they can "run out of room" at all. the bigger baby gets, the bigger you get. I just carried on getting bigger and bigger and bigger. He always felt like he had no room though cause he was a long baby and there were arms and legs and a head stretching and poking me everywhere. It was incredibly uncomfy but never painfull. x

Everyone told me I looked like baby had dropped at 28 weeks. I found out he was engaged at 38.1 & had him at 39 weeks exactly.

I started to noticeable drop at 33-34 weeks. I was fully engaged around 37 weeks. She was born at 40w5d.

With my oldest she engaged around 38 weeks but she didn't come till 42 weeks. With my second she didn't engage till labor started . With my third he engaged about a week before labor.

My baby has been head down and ready to go since 35 weeks. I've been carrying pretty low almost my whole pregnancy so I really didn't notice the baby dropped until I started feeling pelvic pain and some pressure. I'm hoping my little man is coming soon, he has been measuring big this whole pregnancy. I thought he was going to come at the end of December, I know I still have a couple days but now I feel like he wants to stay in there as long as possible.
