you had to give signed permission for the epidural...

epidural did not cause breathing problems... being 35 weeks did... as well as cord around the neck.. if it was tight enough.

pediatric doctors do not manage labor

no way would they have made you "not push" for 24+ hours...

are you by any chance diabetic? gestational or otherwise?

a) I signed nothing (which is why I was able to get a settlement from the hospital...nurse negligence as well as the anesthesiologist putting it in)

b) if you read the whole thread they ran tests and said that he wasn't 35 weeks. He was 40 if not older, because of the lung development that he had as well as other body development.

c) YES WAY they made me "Not Push" for 24+ hours, why the hell would I lie? Don't believe me I can fax you my records...

As far as the pediatric doctor managing labor...if they suspect pre-term labor they have every right to say that you have to hold labor for the babys safety.

Not confused, it was a smurfed up situation and I ended up taking the hospital to court. It was BS in all honesty. I never wanted to have a baby again after my first because of that experience.

as someone who has given birth to two kids, once your 10cm and 100% effaced, there is no NOT pushing and holding baby in, that baby is coming out no matter what!

lung development? you said he had trouble breathing and was in NICU... that's not lung development

holding labor.. is not the same as not pushing when complete. and... would not be a pediatric doctor telling you that... a family practice, or OB/GYN would be managing labor.. not a pediatric doctor

Listen you weren't there you don't know, I can seriously photocopy everything I have and put it up here, I'm not CONFUSED, and I'm not LYING. It's the friggen truth, as unbelievable and screwed up as it is. My own mother was pissed at the entire situation.

I had to have an on-call ped for my son and they couldn't deliver him without her there, and she refused to come in, until I was 36 weeks which was on the 30th of November. Believe me we fought with my OB, but because my body wasn't pushing even though I was dilated...I wasn't able to physically push.
