douche?

I know douching is frowned upon, I don't need to hear how I shouldn't do it. I'm only going to do it once, so don't waste yours & my time telling me this please. but after giving birth I really want to douche.. & I wont let my husband go down on me until i do, lol. & I really want him to, so I was wondering.. I'm coming up to my 6 week pp, when would it be okay to do it ?
I've been having sex since 3 weeks pp, am i pretty much healed and okay ? or should i wait until my period ? I don't want to get an infection or anything. TIA

I would think if you're okay to have sex you should be okay to douche. It's kinda pointless though because the vagina sheds the bacteria on it's own.

It's more about the smell.. I don't have like a chronic smell or anything but i just feel gross & smelly really fast & after giving birth an all the things that came out i feel like i need to

Idk. I mean if you were cleared for sex you should be fine. Your body already shed all of that stuff though. You're just as clean as you were before...

It doesn't clean your uterus... It only cleans the vajay. I think if you're worried about feeling icky down there ( I felt gross. Lol) then a douche won't help. I wish I had better advice. And hope I don't sound rude. I'm not meaning to at all.
Funny story about douches though.. They get rid of skunk smell on dogs.. My moms dog was sprayed. So she ran up to the store in her sweats, not really thinking. Grabbed 4 boxes not knowing there was 4 in each box and proceeded shopping while getting weird looks. Came home and we laughed soooo hard.

ive always had like a lot of discharge, so idk i was just hoping maybe it helps lol

I was 3 weeks ish PP when I did it. We went to my friends wedding and he drank whiskey. It was raining so hard outside, while I was driving, and he wouldn't stop trying to get in my dress. It was amazing though. Lol.
