my sons belly didnt tolerate wholemilk to well..however its geting a TON better. i'll mix half a bottle of toddler gentlease formula and add 3 ounces of whole milk. i've been doing that for a month...sometime adding a bit more milk. If i just give him whole milk alone he gets constipated, and this seems to be working. i've upped his whole milk intake and his poop seems good, so i think his belly is adjusting well. hes almost 14 months

Sorry, I'm no help. DD hated milk. I just gave up since it wasn't necessary. She ate plenty of healthy foods, and cheeses and yogurt.

She loves yogurt, will only sometimes eats cheese. She's been difficult on eating foods. Doesn't like textures, yet doesn't like the pureed foods anymore.

Before i switched them i gave them cereal with the milk just so they got to taste it a lil,
Dean didnt tolerate it at all, he had gastroschisis when he was born so it wasnt a shock, he drank soy for a few months, then dr. said to try 2% and he did great never had another problem...

i always gave it to them cold... being out and about trying to warm milk would be torture if u have cranky baby...

o man my son is the same way! with the texture thing..theres literally like a handful of things he'll eat. grilled chees, gerberfruit grain bars, yogurt and chicken nuggets are the main ones. But i have noticed (and i know some parents wont agree, but whatever) i'll put the laptop on the table and play some cute song videos or something to catch his attention and he east SO much better. i know its not the best habit to start but he's eating and thats what i care about.

My son is 13 months and he is fine with whole milk (which I was worried about because DH hand I are both lactose intolerant) but he still won't drink it cold... so I think I'll be warming up bottles until he's at least 5

I've given it to her cold and warmed up, but nada, although she drinks it mixed with formula.

Maybe she's adjusting to the taste then? You could just taper it slowly.

I started by mixing half whole milk and half water to prevent constipation but now Ive just stuck with the half and half because it gets water in her too!

He was constipated for MONTHS while adjusting, but he eventually adjusted and got over the whole constipation thing, but it took about 3-4 months to adjust. We did Miralax while switching over. Also, did the switch slowly during that 3-4 months mixing some formula into it so his belly could adjust slowly. He was also allergic to milk and soy until 14 months so he was on Nutramigen until that point when we began the slow switch. We didn't have him on JUST whole milk until 16 months or so?
