Horrible diaper rash.. Last post lol.

DD keeps getting this horrible diaper rash.
Like.. Bleeding, her screaming bloody murder diaper rash.
And I don't know how to get rid of it!
It'll go away for a while, and her skin will be totally clear then BAM an hour later its back so bad its bleeding.
I literally slather her in diaper rash ointment with every diaper once it shows up.

Could she be allergic?

My sister told me that she uses lanolin. I used it when my lo had it and it cleared right up. It also seemed to give instant relief. Its pretty expensive, but its totally worth it. Also, try switching brands of diapers. My lo has a bad reaction to pampers, leaks in huggies, but the Target Up & Up brand works great for us. :-) Good luck!

Could be yeast

Sounds like you need to take her to the pedi, if it's broken skin I wouldn't put anything on it right now. Baking soda baths until she is seen by a doctor. It could be a yeast rash and the diaper cream could just be feeding it

Could be yeast. U can try putting gentian violet on it. It knocks yeast out fast. And it's like $5. Some people use vag yeast cream for it too.

sounds like yeast u can use an OTC anti fungal my pedi gave me the RX but i had to go in for other thing or i would have done the OTC thing, my daughter got RSV and was having distress breathing.

I would try lanolin. It works right away when DS looks like he may be getting one. Also I would put a diaper cream on with every change to help prevent it.
Id call her pedi and see if there is something else going on that could be causing it.

It's not yeast, she's had yeast infections twice already, so I know the characteristics of it.
It's not the little red bumps or anything like the yeast was.
It's just like a regular diaper rash, but it's really really bad. That's what I don't understand. Is she'll be perfectly fine, skin clear when I put on one diaper, then when I go to change her, she's all broke out and bleeding.

then it sounds like she is allergic to the diaper you are using

luckily my son never got diaper rash, but I work at a daycare and there have been two children that had super sensitive skin and were esentually allergic to their own urine. They each had to have perscription ointment. I would ask your pediatritian, especially because of the severity...good luck!

Don't use wipes. Just use water on a rag. I would say maybe an allergy?

Sounds like an allergic reaction. Poor baby! Try switching diaper brands n I wouldn't use a wipe just warm water on a really soft washcloth.
