Christmas Budget...

posted 21st Dec
How much do you spend on each of your kids? I spent about $130 so far total for both of my boys.... they are 3 years old and 22 months. but I feel like I should have spent more because they only have 4 gifts each... now I feel bad

Just wanted to get an idea of how much you usually spend and how many gifts you end up with.

We spent 200 altogether for our 4 1/2 year old and 2 1/2 year old. So it evens out 100 a piece.

This year it was probably around $250 per kid. But they each got a bike and helmet which took up about half of that budget.

They each have 5-6 other little things as well. Plus 1 present that they are giving each other.

I don't do dollar amount. I go by gift amount. This year, we did 4 small gifts each, 2 big gifts for both of them and then they each got their own stocking stuffers. My MIL got them a smurf load of toys but my parents will be getting them clothes (which I prefer). My kids aren't really big on toys.

Oh and we purchased things for 3 kids ages 5, 4, and 2.

We didn't do a budget this yr because DS gifts are getting more expensive. We did buy them the same amount of gifts though and tried to make as many toys as possible price match wise.

I didn't set a budget for them, just made sure they had the same amount of gifts.

My son (3) we spent about 350 on and my daughter (7 months) we spent like 160 on. She got "baby toys" so they weren't nearly as much as his gifts.

i spent only $300 on my kids this year. they each have 4 individual gifts and one shared gift from santa.

I usually spend more then double that... But this year we are spending christmas morning with my family... so since my mom got them a like 5 things each.... i didnt need to spend a lot.
