I totally agree with this.

I'm suuuuuper OCD about keeping gift number even. I wrapped everything last night and realized my son has two more gifts than my daughter, so today I went out and bought her two more little things, lol.

Thanks, its been a bad end of the year for us. It's still an upgrade from DD's first christmas though! That year I spent $5 on some books. I agree, my brother bought his 5 month old a ridiculous amount of gifts. That kid is content staring at walls lol.

Yup. Our tree is full. My kids are getting plenty. I'm glad we decided to go really minimal this year. The big toy for each girl is from Santa. I did get some zoobles and squinkies on clearance months ago.
Liv is getting a monster high doll, Jenna is getting a horse, nor is getting the doc stuffins doc kit and Mia is getting a bouncy seat haha

LOL!
I just think that with multiple kids it should be kind of even, whether in gift amount or dollar amount. I dont think it's right or "fair" to go out and spend $300 on one kid and $100 on the other. -Shrug- just IMO though.

I think its best, especially when they are young. When the kids are older, I'll spend a lot more money. Sera JUST had a birthday too so you know I'm not going OD on the Christmas gifts for her.

I saw someone on here who spent like $800 on presents for her infant. I don't remember how old the kid was but not even in the crawling or walking phase yet.

Yup. Same with Nora. I had a hard enough time figuring out what to get her with the small bit we got. Getting more would be stupid.

I couldn't imagine doing that....I don't even think my son got anything for Christmas his first year. I think a bouncer? He was 9 months old and I was going to buy it anyway, so it wasn't really a "Christmas present". This year my mom and I went in together. I spent less than 50.00 on my half (an art easel - he's going to be 4) and she got the accessory kit that was like 25 and a few small things she mailed me, I think one is like a 5.00 movie and the rest is a sleeper I needed and some candy lol. This is "big" year for us, we usually just do some activities with the family. We've had a lot of money issues, too, so I totally get it and there really is nothing to be ashamed of ! People put way too much emphasis on material items instead of spending the time with family anyway.
