working out

i really would like to start working out again, nothing major just a jog around the block, sit ups, push ups.. ect and i really am starting to miss my yoga!!
When can I start all this again, I had my daughter on the 7th (2 weeks ago) I'm not in any pain at all, not even (this is gross but) bleeding hardly anymore, just a spot here and there...
Would it be safe for me to start working out? Or do I need to wait till my 6 week appointment... I'm pretty sure my stitches are healed!

My doctor advised me to only walking until my 6 week appt.

Wait until 6 weeks. Trust me, I know it's hard. I am a regular runner/ aspiring marathoner/ Tough Mudder obstical course crazy run kind of gal. But I found out the hard way that not waiting to let your body recover completely (even when you FEEL 100%) can lead to some pretty heafty complications such as internal scar adhesions.

Yeah, take my word for it LOL I'm two weeks out from having my intestines unfused from my abdominal wall. And yeah, I want to run again like yesterday but I don't want to go through another surgery because I was stupid.
