re: Tumblr teens ttc

This is her "plan" I'm sure her boyfriend's contribution of $350 from a big "inheritance" will really help cover the costs. 2900 by the time she has the baby won't pay for barely anything. This girl's world is gonna come crashing down she sees what the reality of the situation is. It's sad she doesn't see how she has her whole life ahead of her.


so right now i have 8.5 credits
this year i plan on getting 9 credits
get pregnant in October
get 9 credits well pregnant
Have baby in June
Go back to school in September for remaining 4 credits
split it up 2 credits first semester
2 credits second semester.
Pay my cousin or someone else to take care of baby the for 2hrs 10mins hours everyday week days , thats 1hr 40 mins for class, an 30 mins for studying and home work if needed


So I added up how much its gonna cost us for the first year to have a baby $3700 dollars. (: I make $200 a month by June ill $1000, for my birthday ill get a $100 plus 9 months ill be pregnant and still making money so ill have $ 2900 by the time the baby comes. I’m expecting knowing how much my parents spend on there grand children that they’ll spend $200 on baby gifts , my grandma will spend $ 100, plus other family all together will spend about $150. Leaving us with a grand total of $3350 for baby, the other $350 will come from my boyfriend who has a big inheritance.

i feel sooo sorry for her, her family, boyfriend and future child. $200/month? Rent alone for us is $540, and that's cheap, we used to pay $900 and i've seen others pay more depending on where you live. And diapers, food, electric, etc...? What, does she plan on living with her parents while doing this? I didn't see anything about where she was going to live. But seriously, what a joke. I wish she would at least move out, and live on her own for a bit and realize the cost of living before she decides she can afford that times 2-3 (child and SO). She's got a wake up call coming. I love my DD and love being a mom, but I'm only 21 and I feel like I'm rather young to be a mom. There is a lot of other things I could be doing instead of changing diapers, not saying I regret anything but still. She is going to miss out.

And I definitely needed more than 30 mins to work on stuff outside of class. Plus, i her parents still give her an "allowance" when she is perfectly capable of working at 18 they are just as ridiculous imo. Sorry, I'm just upset with how this teen makes it out to be so easy to be a parent, student, mom, and live in the real world. This is seriously what people think it's like? I'm astonished.

My rent is 1350...blah that doesnt include anything else..then again it is southern cali.

Yeah its crazy. We are blessed to pay that and not have issues. But after a year and a half of renting we decided why the hell did we just waste it on rent? A morgage is the same price or a few hundred more. So now we are looking and bidding on houses. lol This girl who is TTC needs to live on her own and pay her own bills just for a 2 months and see how hard it can be.

cost of living is super low here, I've discussed this many times on here. But I don't plan on living here long, it's a crappy town turning into a Detroit wannabee. I definitely don't want to raise DD here, but we're waiting until I'm done with school before we move.

I was on tumblr the other day and I saw somebody trying to get a support blog going for teens ttc, too. smh.

The girl you're talking about though probably just wants to get the cute little bump and thinks raising a baby will be like playing dress up. :/

I joined tumblr because im bored as hell waiting for baby to be born and i have no idea how to use it so i typed in teen in the hastag area i guess and a smurf ton of porn showed up! Lol. Whhhhat did you type in to get the blogs?

I have only heard of one legit reason for a teen to ttc. She was 18 and had one ovary removed and it was expected that her other one would be bad within the next 2 years. She was financially stable because of an inheritance she got from her dad's death so she started ttc at 18 because she had a very short window to ttc in before it was no longer an option. But most teens don't have that going for them.
