and you were having normal contractions and progessing like normal, did you get pitocin?

I just dont understand how MOST people from what Ive seen get pitocin to "help things along" when most really dont need it...
i think its for money honestly, giving pit costs more money and helps the pharmacy...it also increass your chance of a c-section which gives the doctors and hosptials more money too.... i really dont think its a coincidence....

Yes. I didn't want it. I refused it for hours, but eventually my doctor talked me into it. I wasn't progressing fast enough and my doctor was worried about infection, since my membranes had ruptured, so he augmented my labor with Pitocin.

My water broke naturally, but I think they did give me a dose of Pitocin to speed things up after I had been in labor 12+ hours.

Nope I stayed at home as long as possible so they wouldn't try to convince me at a vulnerable moment.

I did have a fast labor though, started at 5am, I left home at 7am and had my son 8:28am. I was a 6 when I got there and water broke when I threw up lol

I refused until I gave in...I went hours between 4cm and 5cm. Like 5 or 6 hours. After the pitocin I went from 5-10 in 3 hours. The contractions got worse but nothing unbearable. I would do it again next time if necessary!

I refused pitocin at first then accepted it later when I got an epidural and my progression stopped. I wouldn't have accepted it if things were moving along on their own.

My water broke naturally, then I got to 8cm by myself and things just stopped so I had to have the pit. I think there is some connection between water breaking on its own before contractions, and c sections. Because I very nearly needed a c-sec, and a few people I know (whos water broke before contractions) ended up having c-secs after waiting for nature to do its thing, and failing.

Natural labor, no pitocin, I think it's because I used a midwife over an OB.

I also didn't really know I was in labor and got to the hospital at 8cm, but my son DID get stuck, I sat at 8cm for two hours and they almost decided to go for an emergency c-section, luckily, I sat on the toilet and i guess gravity worked and after about 15 minutes of that, things finally got going again and I was able to push.

Nope, they let me do it on my own. They mentioned if I didn't start progressing more they may have to (i had been there awhile and when my water broke it was green) but I was dehydrated and as soon as I got a bag of fluids i progressed quickly.
