Misaimed attempt at an apology or...?

it definitely looks like he was putting on a show.

I vote for putting on a show. He knows he's never sent money, and I bet he chose those words on purpose to make himself look better.

IMO it sounds like he feels bad, but is trying to spin it in his favor so he doesn't have to be the bad guy. Like "oh yea i'm a smurffy dad... but I sent money!" ... you know?

I just re-read it and realized something else.
He says "ilysm" to his fiance, and "ily" to his step dad and mom. But when he's referring to my son, I don't see it once.

Putting on a show. He never said it to you so therefore it's not a real apology.

It kinda sounds genuine, but then it kinda doesn't. Like...its sweet for him to say that he appreciates you doing a good job with your child, but about the money part...and you said he hasn't sent any, that would be putting on a show to me.

If he's bringing money into it is say a show.

yeah, well he can't really love someone he doesn't even know, even if he did help make the kid. it's very sad. maybe one day he will come around.

Words are just words. If he actually put money in the CS account, with or without the Fbook status, then I'd take it seriously.

Wednesday before we all parted ways, I told him he was more than welcome to come to the house and see LO, or I'd meet him halfway. He blew it off completely. He said he didn't have time to be driving to Statesville (It's roughly an hour drive one way for both of us) and said just to let him know when I was in town again, which is about a 2 hour drive for me one way...
But it's cool, that's just who he is. He's not the responsible type, nor the selfless type. He's irresponsible and greedy. It's who he is and I have to respect that and just take the proper routes to ensure that my child does receive support, even if it's just financial from one party, from both parents.
I just saw a twinkle briefly suggesting he may.
