Rash

posted 21st Dec
DS has a rash that looks just like heat rash but I don't know how it could be heat rash, plus, he has been screaming for 3 days straight. No fever, nothing new (food, detergent, etc.) Just a rash covering his entire body and lots of screaming.

Any ideas? Other than the doctor obviously but I doubt he needs antibiotics and I don't know what else they'd be able to do?

The doctor might be able to prescribe a cream for it, depending on what it is. Does he scratch it?

No scratching   his skin isn't dry at all either, it feels just like regular but bumpy skin, and the bumps are red. DD had eczema and it doesn't look or feel like that. I might take him in anyway but I really don't want to waste my time to hear "let's wait and see."

Could be insect bites or something.

What kind of bugs? He would have literally thousands and we all sleep in the same bed and our apartment is tiny, we'd all have them, right?

10 months. He generally cries nonstop anyhow but he has been ultra inconsolable lately. He is a crotchety old man, lol.

Aww, poor baby

Maybe try an oatmeal bath? I use the Aveeno ones for my son when his eczema acts up...even if it's not eczema, it might still be soothing.

I should, thanks. I am always at such a loss with him, he just seems like an unhappy person with a bad temper. Hopefully this helps his immediate discomfort though.

He had an ear infection, that's why he was crying so much  . Dr. said the rash is eczema,I guess it can look all different ways which is why it looked nothing like DD's. He literally has it from head to foot ...just popped up all at once practically. Poor baby  .
