Oliver for a girl.

posted 21st Dec
So my DH's close friend named his daughter OLIVER. YES OLIVER. But he pronounces it Olivia. He argued with me for about 30 minutes and still thinks he's right. Dear lord. Just ranting. So frustrating because I know I'm right.

The only time that is ever okay is if he only teaches her how to say, "Can I have some moooooore?" and nothing else.

lmao. I know someone with a name pronounced like Olivier but spelled in a completely crap way, and it's a name given to a girl.. That's terrible.

Olive or Olivia would have been so much better. But alas the baby is born and is named Oliver. Unfortunately there's nothing we as outsiders can do. Especially if they pronounce it Olivia

The problem is he said Olivia is spelled "Oliver" and yes the name is set on stones. Baby girl was here 11/28. All his friends loved it.

Smurfing horrible! Why must idiots take every boy name and slap it on a girl. Oliver can be pronounced like Olivia but to use it for a girl it just...ugh, there are no words.

What was so wrong with Olive or Olivia? Oliver is ALL boy.
