pfft, that and James and the Giant Peach were my FAAAAAAVORITE movies when I was little, and Ev loves them now too. They're a little dark but not scary.

Ugh, read the answers wrong and clicked the second option, BUT I think it's fine and my 2 year old loved it when we saw it on Halloween. People are ridiculous. If you shelter a child to that extent, you're causing just as much damage as too much exposure to the world. I was overly sheltered and when I decided to rebel as a teenager, I was clueless and put myself in some obviously bad situations.

I watched it when I was about 3. (I only know that based on where we were living at the time)
After that I had nightmares of that movie, it kinda terrified me, lol.

I would never let my LO watch it as a toddler. Poor kid can't even make it through Lion King or Beauty and the Beast.

My grandma put Chucky on for me when I was 3 and I sat through the whole thing. There are worse things you could be putting on

Quoting Smokey_Taboo:" I think it depends on the kid, My kid loves movies like that. She looves the nightmare before chritmas. ... [snip!] ... away and she sang along and danced around the room, and fell in love with all the characters. I think its a brilliant movie. "
you just named 3 of my fav movies (include NBC). we actually just watched it right before DD went to bed (granted she's only almost 7 months old, she still watched parts of it)

I don't find it inappropriate, but I also think it depends upon the kid. I watched it when I was very little and it freaked me out a little, lol - then again, so did Gremlins. But as a whole, not inappropriate for kids at all.

Chucky was my 1st taste of horror movie (that i can remember) and it started an obsession. my mother got annoyed at me around 6 yrs old because we'd go into movie gallery and i'd head straight for the horror section.
