Lol I try to avoid him at all costs. The man gets so butthurt if I decide to keep the door closed all day (because its freaking cold out) and throws a fit. I'm like, seriously?! It's my freaking house GTFO!

Nope. My 5 year old's paternal grandfather hasn't seen her in over a year because he was abusive to her father, hit her, tried to physically intimidate me, and called CPS on us 3 times for bogus reasons.

Luckily I love her paternal grandmother and I really like this baby I'm carrying's paternal grandmother too  

Of course I do. I'm not immature like that. They're not abusive or anything, though. I just don't like them.

My SO's mother lives out of country but his sister, niece & etc live like 30 minutes away. This is our first Christmas together but I don't want to go over to their house, I like to stay at my own during holidays!

I love my in laws and look forward to visiting them or them visiting us, but if I didn't like them I absolutely would because it's setting a good example for my child and out of respect for my husband.

I would never let me being uncomfortable come before another person who loves my child spending time with her.

  usually I feel your replies are very blunt and   ... but this... this I agree with.  

I always say "this year, we're not going" but this is the 6th Christmas we'll attend (we usually alternate lunch and dinner between my family and his family)... We only really go because of his younger brothers and sisters... This year thankfully it's at his older brothers house and not her stinky smoke infested house.

Next year we are going to Fiji for Christmas with my family and then after that, we won't be leaving the house on Christmas for a while. The kids are getting older, plus we'll have #3 & I'm tired of dragging them from place to place on Christmas Day.

I would suck it up as much as I wouldn't want to only because I love my SO very much and he would do the same for me.
