abortion 13-15 weeks

I'm not thinking about getting an abortion this late, but I am thinking about it in general. Has anyone on here had an abortion around that time frame? What was your experience? I'm just curious because i've always been against it past 10 weeks or so.. I just want to get myself educated in this.

generally the cut off his 12 weeks, but in many places it's 9 -10 weeks.

im sure many women have gotten them done at 13-15 weeks. one woman on here had one at 23w6d.

i had one at 13weeks 5 days because they couldnt book me sooner, it was horrible. lot of blood loss, and a lot of pain. and i got very depressed. they had to give me extra morphine

you'd have to go somewhere that does them that late. my friend had a medical one at 16w, and her ob referred her to some specialized place

It's 8 weeks here in wa state. They won't let anyone do it pass that. I had one in 2008. I took the pill and it didn't expel so I had to carry it for 2 weeks with hemmorging here and there before I had a d&c . It was a horrible experience

In California some places will do it as late as 24 weeks.
I had mine at 8 weeks 5 days.
A friend of mine had one around 13 weeks and said she bleed a lot and required further surgery.
Every experience is different though.

My friend was 16 weeks
It was a 2day procedure
First day they dialited her
She was in excruciating pain couldn't walk
The pain meds they gave her made her sick
The second day they did the rest
She was I. Soo much pain
Scared me smurfless so I decided to keep mine after she told me that

Actually, we have extremely liberal abortion laws here in WA state, its legal up until the point of viability, and has been since at least 1991. (for a d&c)
We also have state funding, and minors can get abortions without parental consent or notification.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the pill method, it would be awful to have to do it twice

I had one at 11 weeks it was hard on me emotionally because of the more advanced development but i had been putting it off hoping for a way out of it tbh

Well with planed parenthood anyways. They told me if I ass day later I wouldn't beable to do it. I'm sure if I dug I'm sure.I can find another clinic. But don't know of any others on this side of the mounrtains. I'm in Snohomish county.

Probably just depends on the planned parenthood, the one I spoke to was in Thurston Co. But they won't do the medical (pills) abortion past 8 weeks, but will go much further out for surgical. I have a friend who has had one around 13 weeks.

I had a surgical abortion around 13.5 weeks. I don't think it was any different than another surgical abortion... it was extremely painful and traumatizing.
