Foreskin question... UPDATED

I think my sons foreskin reattached itself is that a problem? I was helping my 5 yr old in the shower and when it came time to pull his foreskin back, it barley pocked the head out, like just a tip, where even a few days ago I know it fully or almost fully retracted and has since he was 3ish.


He was complaining of pain with the retraction past the little bit, so I tried and examined it. It looks completely fine, but like I said, appears to have reattached.

Is that normal? Something to be concerned about? Please don't comment if you have no intact sons.. UNLESS they were intact but had to be circumcised for medical reasons.

Did you pull it back as an infant?

When my son was a newborn I had issues like that because the doctor took very little skin off and adhesions formed so I couldn't retract it without hurting him. We ended up having to have his circumcision redone. I've never heard of it happening when they're that old, though...

I have never touched my sons penis so im not sure.

If he's not circumcised I thought you weren't supposed to pull it back at all yet until he can on his own.

No. His pediatrician did twice. It became retractable when he was potty trained, e cause he played with his pens all the time. No one ever pulled it back in the bath, diaper changes- just him.

Yes, I know, but the adhesions were from the irritation of trying to retract it so I thought it could still be applicable.

She wasn't quoting you. If you read it she was referring to the post where the mama said that she had never touched her sons penis.

no i dont lol. a wipe cleans it all extremely well without me needing to youch it.
