Wellbutrin. Your thoughts?

Ive never been prescribed anything except b/c pills. Today I was given a script for Wellbutrin.
I went to pick it up and the price was $74 for ONE MONTH! WTF
I have no insurance but still.  
I had depression and anxiety before and now seeing that price and knowing I can't afford it f's me up even more  

If you take it, please tell me what you like or dislike about it. Thanks.

I've been on many antidepressants... lexapro, zoloft, etc. Wellbutrin was the only one that really helped me.

Do you deal with anxiety too?

I've heard nothing but good things about this drug. I wasn't able to take it for my PPD because I was breastfeeding, but two of my other girlfriends with similar aged LO's at the time were taking it and they had extra energy and everything! it worked wonders for them.

i think the only down side is it can exacerbate anxiety if you're prone to it

I was in the hospital not too long ago and alot of people were on it. They loved it. It can also help with quitting smoking

Energy I need.
Anxiety I don't. Mine is already through the roof. It's screwing me up at work and I can tell they are aggravated with me. I've dealt with anxiety for 20 yrs. I do not want it to get any worse, it could cause me to quit or get fired like its THAT bad.

Non smoker here but I have read that. My ex needs it lol.

It made me crazy and gave me tachycardia. The only anti depressent that every worked for me was Cymbalta. But I haven't been on anything in over 3 years.

I know that anxiety shouldn't be exacerbated at all.

believe me when I tell you I sympathize. They will more than likely prescribe you a benzo to help then. They saved me honestly. The zoloft was nice... but the klonopin saved my life.

Ugh i already have a messed up heart beat/rate.
How did you go from that to being on nothing now?

Yea my Ativan on a scheduled basis and Vistaril PRN somewhat helps. I also take Buspar.

Hmm, well I guess I wont know until I take it.I'm just scared it will mess me up. I'd say 20% is depression and 80% anxiety so if it helps my anxiety I'm all for it.
