Teachers gift

posted 20th Dec
What kind of gift should I get for an extra AMAZING teacher?! My son is in kindergarten and he has a learning disability, she noticed it right away and got him into tutoring and speech therapy. Since she did this he has been getting 100% on all of his tests and his eval for this quarter looks amazing! He's finally keeping up with his peers. Not to mention, he LOVES her! I get sick of hearing about her sometimes (just kidding :p)! So what do I get her to show her how extra special she is to all of us?

Sorry this is so crunchy, but I just got his eval and I'm on cloud nine!

I can't afford to spend cash. I sent in a huge plate of cookies to her & the helper teacher. I also gave a small bag to the bus driver.

That would be cool, maybe attach it to a big cup of Starbucks coffee lol.

We were very last minute and I picked up a gift card for my daughter's teacher for our local coffee shop. I was extra cheesy and wrote in the card, "Thanks a 'latte' for all that you do!" and she was so appreciative of the gift card, she said it was the perfect gift for her.

I can't really, either but she really is amazing and I figure my husband and kids and even his mom is getting a gift from us so I should at least get someone who has such a good and large impact on our lives something special too!

That's cool. I think cheesy things are sometimes the best lol. A gift card for coffee would probably be better since idk what she likes to drink :p

I like the note idea a lot. I think I might do a note and a giftcard for either Starbucks or Kaladi brothers. Not sure which yet.

We had one of those teachers

I got her an autism scentsy warmer the one year (our son has autism). For the end of the year, I made up a book with pictures of my son with different friends/family members, then had each of those people write a letter telling his teacher how much her help has improved the relationships they have with my son, so it was all of us thanking her.

We bought my daughter's kindergarten teacher a willow tree ornament. It was the Angel of Learning one and she's holding a book. She told my daughter she loved it and was wanting it. And my daughter also picked her out a stapler cause she said she needed one lol. I also gave a bag of candy to her bus driver.
