Heavy Bleeding 6 Weeks Postpartum

I'm calling my doc in the morning but thought I'd ask you ladies. I had an emergency c-section 6 weeks ago. It was a successful surgery from which I healed pretty quickly (on the outside, at least). I spotted off and on for the next 4ish weeks, things stopped finally, then BAM. Yesterday I started cramping an bleeding pretty heavily. I'm not soaking more than a pad an hour, which is when my doc had previously said to go to the ER.

Note: Admittedly, while we did not have penetrative sex, my husband I did mess around pretty hardcore the morning the bleeding started. He had his weight on me - I wonder if that messed something up?

sounds like you're having your first PP period honestly.

Sounds like how my first pp period was I barely even spotted once we left the hospital for only about 3 weeks my husband and I didnt do anything until I got the clear from my obgyn but on my 6week mark to the day I started my first pp period and blead super heavy for about 3 weeks again!!

I was going to say the same thing as the other ladies...sounds like a period to me. The first 2 or 3 pp periods are usually pretty heavy.

I still got "gushes" of heavy bleeding on and off up until 7 weeks postpartum.
