haha boo that sucks! I miss my horses so much. I found a farm around here who does show jumping like I used to do but she trained her horses like, the exact opposite of how I trained mine. Idk it's strange. She's from California and I don't know if West Coast has a different style of equestrian show jumping than East Coast but I couldn't get a feel for any of her horses so I stopped riding. But I sure do miss being able to just go for trail rides in the snow   it's an awesome feeling!

Me too! I can't wait until my kids are old enough to ride!! I've put my 2 year old on a horse a few times but she's ready to stop after about 5 minutes, so it will be a while before I can take her on a trail ride.

That's the best thing to do! get them on there young. My mom had me on a horse before I could walk (obviously holding me up). I wish we had the means, money and farm to own our own or board them so my kids can experience the same.

I hope the same! Growing up my horses were at my uncles house and I lived next door with my dad. It was a great experience growing up on a farm, I think it builds character.
I still go over and work with my uncles horses for him when I have the time, which isn't often

I didn't start riding until I became an adult. I was born and raised on a farm but my dad was dead set against horses. One of his best friends died from being bucked off and trampled. We could have anything but. I was brought up to fear them but always loved them. I got with my husband who is a rancher and he taught me.
