She didn't die at the school. She wasn't part of the mass shooting.

If he were a sniper picking people off at random places, she would be counted.

She was not a victim of the sandy hook elementary school massacre. That's why they don't count her. He killed her prior to going to the school.

I hate to say this, but if she knew that her son was mentally ill yet kept the guns within his reach, then she is partially to blame for the shootings.

I think when they say this. They only refer to the deaths that occured in the school area. Most of the time, they'll say he shot his mother at home and then 27 were killed in the school including shooter. Or so I've heard.

So should Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold be included on the crosses on Clement Hill... regarding the Columbine shootings? After all, they had serious mental problems and had pain.

I am REALLY curious about your answer. If you dont know what I'm talking about, there are 13 crosses on Clement Hill with the names and pictures of the kids killed at Columbine... but Eric and Dylan are not included.

So what if he was a person? He was the perpetrator, not a victim and that's what they're counting.

The shooter himself should not be included. I feel his mother is partially to blame as well, which is probably why she isn't included. Sure, she lost her life too, but she provided access to these weapons and took her son to the shooting range, when clearly he had issues. Not wise, but again, she paid for it with her life.

Woah.... introducing your child to guns is NOT a reason to be blamed. My high school had a gun range and I was taught to shoot guns inside my school. So if I started to shoot up my work, a public place, my family, etc... should my school be blamed because my school taught me to shoot guns?
