Vaginal prolapse and....
posted 20th Dec
So...went pee a few weeks ago and when I wiped it felt "funny" like something wasn't supposed to be there. So I felt around a little and I could easily feel my cervix. It was sticking out of my vag, but it was RIGHT there. My...idk..."g spot" wasn't in the right place either. And there was a bulge in the back wall too. After some intense googling, I have self diagnosed a vaginal prolapse and rectocele. I haven't beedn to the ob yet (I didn't go to my 6wk pp check either because I felt fine. Bleeding had stopped, baby was healthy, I felt wonderful, and I hate doctors) I am debating going in now. Nothing hurts or is uncomfortable. the reading I have done says it isn't anything life threatening or dangerous (unless things are hanging out of the body...infection and whatnot), and can only be repaired with surgery (eeek!) Any advice/experience would be lovely!

I have never experienced this but I would say it is definitely something that an obgyn needs to check out and make sure everything is ok.

Can you have sex? yikes! I'd get it looked after.

Personally, I would go get it checked out and at least check my options. I'd be scared to let it just, hang there. O.o
I found out a while back that my mothers uterus and bladder has fallen and has been like that for the past few years. She has had to wear Depends because that's the only thing that keeps her from having problems in public. She's getting a hysterectomy to fix the problem and a bladder lift.

I would most definitely be going to the doctor. The potential for infection and risk of causing injury and messing it up down there would make me want to go.
