friend vent

i am going to type this b/c i am frustrated. i have been friends with one of my best friends since the 10th grade. we went to college together and ate lunch together every day. and then after graduation we talked on the phone almost every day. i have never had any interest in this guy at all other than as friends. i knew he kind of like me but it was never a big deal or anything b/c i didn't think it was affecting our friendship or anything.
i have been with my husband for 4.5 years and he has always been suspicious of this other friend but he hasn't ever tried to stop me from being friends with him. he trusts me but he says that the guy liked me.
i just had my second baby with my husband a week ago. i sent out pictures to all of my friends including my friend (i have only seen him btw twice in the past 2 years). well a guy this guy works with happens to be best friends with my brother. my brother's friend just told my brother than my friend was showing people at work the pictures i had sent out of the baby and my daughter and telling people it was his kids! and that i was his g/f! this guy told my brother that i was cheating on my husband b/c obviously if i have a b/f something is going on right? ugh i am so upset at him right now and i don't even know how to respond or what to do about the situation. 
my husband is pretty ticked off about the whole thing. not at me obviously b/c he knows i wouldn't do anything. 
sorry i'm not really looking for any replies or anything it just feels better to type it all out and tell someone about it since i don't have anyone else to talk to besides my husband about it. i gotta go feed my baby now!

that's creepy...def not someone I would want to remain in contact w/...yet I almost think you should confront him about it.

I would definitely NOT send any more pictures to that "friend" if I were you. Nor would I really consider him a friend any more. That is just lower than low. I can't believe he would do such a thing. That's ridiculous!

I'm glad that your husband understands you had no part in it and isn't upset with you about it. I think you need to confront this "friend" and find out why he is doing that... then let him know you don't appreciate it and he stepped over the boundary of "friends".

If you don't want to be friends with him any more, I would definitely let him know during this conversation as well.

I would confront him about it and no longer be friends with him. That's so weird

Wow what a creep. If I were you I'd confront him about it and then cut off any kind of communication afterwards. I could never trust someone like that even if they are a friend, thats just really low.
