School closings, is this happening across the nation?

My children's school was cancelled today and tomorrow, the email and phone call state " Schools will be closed for Thursday, December 20th and Friday, December 21st due to a recent situation that has occurred. This includes all athletic and extracurricular practices and events. I have reviewed information with local law enforcement and have concerns about whether a normal instructional day can be achieved."

Is this just in Michigan? Schools all over the lower part of MI are closed, due to the uncovering of some horrible plans by students, because of the "end of the world"

Scary stuff, I didnt want to send my kids to school today or tomorrow, anyways, due to all the things that they are finding and reporting on the news.

I posted about this earlier but I'm also in MI so idk if its happening elsewhere.

Not happening over here as far as I've heard. I'm glad they did though because something is bound to happen somewhere since apparently people nowadays fall for dumb bullsmurf like this. How many times was the world supposed to end in the past 20 years? People need to smarten the hell up.

I'm in west mi and our schools are open but my aunts step kids are in detriot area and 21 districts in 1 county closed due to threats.

Here the schools are all open.

Idk I searched google news and could only find schools closed there and in Wisconsin but the wisconsin schools are due to a blizzard.

Schools are closed here but it's because we are having a storm.

Yeah, all of Genesse county closed down, about half of Saginaw, portions of Bay, and a lot of Lapeer. It is crazy, and it isn't just one or two plots, it is a lot. And they are saying they have been planned for a very long time. They went to one house in Bay county and found everything they would need to commit whatever it is they were planning. It is insane down here!

I have family up that way, and they have said y'all are getting slammed. None of my nieces or nephews have school, but due to weather. We are only getting rain, and they are telling the reasons for all the school closings down here. I miss being up north, people arent nearly as crazy as they are down here

They aren't closing here, but my sister is required to attend an after school program to learn how to obtain a CCW permit (she's a teacher) tomorrow. They have already had teachers with guns in schools here and in Texas for years and are trying to get more of them armed before they come back from Christmas break.

Thats a great idea! Michigan had passed an extened CCW law on Friday and Gov. Snyder vetoed it Tuesday.
