Stabbing pain

So i woke up about 8:30, fed LO (im breastfeeding if that makes a difference) and climbed back into bed to relax at 9:15 and all of a sudden i got what felt like really strong contractions but accompanied by a really powerful stabbing pain, just left of my right hip bone? Im just wondering if anyone knows what this is? I know you can get contraction like pains after birth, and i have had those pains but they were nothing as intense and painful as this! Im 8 days PP.

That happened to me after having my last child. It stopped after a few days. i had the most horrible cramps pp. my doc said as long as I wasnt bleeding heavily or had a foul discharge I should be fine. My LO is 8 weeks now and I am fine.

There are a whole lot of muscles in that area. Sounds like it could have just been a muscle spasm.

You'll come to see that there are SoOoO many weird aches and pains in the months following child birth. You'll get used to it
