I am about fed up with Medicaid, idk if its like this in other states but I have been trying since the BEGINNING OF MARCH to get approved. I make like $150 a week if I am single and pregnant and can't get qualified who can? I called them applied over the phone, then they sent me a packet in the mail to fill out and apply again, so I filled it out and sent it priority so they would get it faster. like a month later I get a letter in the mail and I call to have them explain it they tell me everything that I need to fax/send them so I got everything together and faxed it and called to make sure they got it, but I didn't put the cover letter on there so it took a week for them to connect it to my case even though it had my case number on all the pages and social and date of birth and they have the nerve to tell me I didn't inclue a photo ID when I put a copy of my license on the same page as 2 other documents they said they recieved. So Yesterday I recieve a letter in the mail in Spanish? WTF I can't speak spanish?? I think it says I am not eligable becasue I did not cooperate and give them what they needed when I have given them everything before it was even due. Has anyone else had this much trouble? What did you do?

It's a lot easier to go in and apply, and not do it through the mail/internet. Bring your birth cert, two forms of pic ID, a proof of pregnancy from a dr., and your last months worth of check stubs from your job.

I dont think they have a local office for my county, I know where the one is for the county next to mine but i'm not sure they have one that you can actually go in and speak with them

I can't say I've had this problem with Medicaid but my husband's student loan people randomly started sending everything in Spanish. 5 years later and we still haven't gotten that completely figured out. Damn beaurocrats!

yeah i went to the Medicade office here and they told me exactly what I needed, i gave it to them and was approved later that week. try going to the office if you can or call because i had a problem with my name, and i called the medicade office and they fixed it

They have to have one that you can speak to them in person. Look online for a 1800 number for your particular states medicaid number, and call and see where they can send you.

If you are single and you are pregnant and I barley make anything I should get approved right?

google your county and you should find a website for your county..see if there are any links there for the health dept. if not..call the one that is close to you and see if there is..if not then they should allow you to do the process their or refer you to the right one

yes you should have gotten approved..i can probably tell you for sure that you are qualified for it..they are just being a holes..lol

They have a list of places you can go to apply through a phone fax or computer I dont see anything about applying in person, idk if i'm looking in the wrong spot or what

Hey Ihave the same problem am only 16 an they dont want to give me Medicade....

They will definatly get a piece of my mind if I find out where I can talk to a person. So far this pregnancy has cost me over 4,000 I can't afford that, thats about what I make in a year at my POS job
