I'm 17 and 25 weeks pregnant (I'll be 18 when he gets here) and I'm definitely breastfeeding! Just the fact that it lowers the chance of SIDS settles it for me, not to mention all of the other positive outcomes. (:

I'm 18 and 30 weeks pregnant and I plan on breastfeeding!

It is healthier for the baby. Plus, out of my mom's 3 daughters she breastfed 2 of us. My middle sister was not breastfed and she has been sick pretty much her whole life.
And, it is also way cheaper! Plus creates better bonding through skin contact!
Good luck!

Im 17 and breastfeed my nearly 5 month old, it's hard and frustrating at first but well worth it.
I couldn't justify getting out of my warm bed at night to make a bottle when I have it on tap lol. Heaps cheaper & a great bonding experience! ( he sleeps next to my bed in his cot)
It's always worth it, no harm in trying.

I was 20 when I had my son and I just was so uneducated a out breastfeeding sonif chose not to. I really regret it now, our bond is just as strong as with my breastfed daughter but he spends every year from November to march battling a cold or croup or the flu or something. My daughter will be two on Friday and has only been sick twice in her life, once at 2 months and once about three weeks ago, and it lasted 2 days each time.
There are countless health benefits for mom and baby I don't understand why any mom would choose not to at least try. Not to mention, it's FREE. Lol

If it makes you feel any better, all of my kids were bf. the oldest was the healthiest child ever, he's been sick maybe 3 times in his life, he's 8 yrs old. He nursed for 3 yrs.
My middle son, was sick all.the.time, he had ear infections constantly and just always was sickly. He nursed until he was 4.

Some kids are sickly even if they nurse.
