re: Statutory Rape???

If she calls now he may be in trouble, but if she waits then they can't do anything your birthday acts as a statue of limitation. My mom tried this when I lived in Mississippi. And I'm living in Utah now with my baby daddy (husband now)

They need to raise the age of consent here! I see too many young girls getting pregnant so young by these older men and nothing is being done about it. It's not right.

It happens all the time here too & nothing is ever done about it.. Most parents don't want to file charges & the hospital doesn't get involved unless the child is under the age of 15, then CPS is usually involved.

My mom is a little crazy she's not really making a big deal about it right now but I have a really good feeling that she might make a big deal out of it out of anger once I tell her that I want to move out with him.

I wouldnt tell her til day after I turned 18 that I was leaving.

In 2008, they raised the AoC in Canada from 14 to 16.

I really don't know with my mom she's up and down sometimes but she did tell me that she wouldn't call the cops since he is the father of my child but I just know she's going to be pissed once I tell her I'm moving out and I'm not exactly sure how she's going to react or what she's going to do but I know for sure she'll be pissed

Well ya that's true but I honestly don't think anyone would really get involved with that except my mom and grandmother...

that's why I said most states..but the fact is she'll be 18 when she has the baby, once she's an adult her mom really can't do anything.

I know a few young girls who were having sex with guys who were 22+ and it just made me sick to my stomach  . A friend of mine's ex boyfriend (26) is now talking/having sex with a 15 year old girl. That's almost 10 years! So wrong!
