Milk supply?

My supply went from way too much to barely an ounce at a time. Will pumping more often increase my supply?

I can't. I took some antibiotics that you're not supposed to take while breastfeeding, unknowingly. So I've been pumping and pouring it out.

Yes it will breastfeeding is supply and demand the more you take out the more you will make. How often are you pumping are you putting baby to breast out strictly pumping

Most antibiotics are safe to take while breastfeeding you just have to watch for thrush

Strictly pumping. Took some antibiotics without knowing they weren't safe for breastfeeding so I've just been pumping and pouring it out to keep up my supply.

He's on formula and breastmilk that I pumped before the antibiotics. He's having issues with gaining weight, since he was premature by a few days and very small at birth.

Ha. On the instruction booklet, it states "do not breastfeed a child under one month old." Apparently, it can cause anemia.

Oh ok I would increase my pumping sessions and pump more often

Oh ok I just know my friend was told something she was taking want safe when it really was lol I wasn't trying to say you were wrong just letting you know sorry there is a site you can look up if meds are safe for breastfeeding but I can't remember what it is

Yes the more you pump the better! If you can try and pump every 3 hours even through out the night! I strickly pump since my little one wouldn't latch back on we had to supliment with formula for about 5 days after I had him on the breast only in the hospital and once comming home he was jondice and they said my milk would be delayed due to my post partum hemmorage.. I started out pumping every 2-3 hours and now I pump every 4 I also drink mothers milk tea.. I produce on average 10 ounces (5 from each side and I pump 20 minutes sometimes a little longer).. Also I found that I got more milk by double pumping..
