If you wanted to ingest your placenta? Was he supportive?

Mines a little grossed out which is understandable I reacted the same the first time I heard about it lol but he understands why I want to.

He was supportive of everything I did with labor. I had two natural labors, one being a home water birth. He told me that was my choice since I'm the one going through all the pain. I ended up doing the placenta pills though, as I didn't want him to be sick when I'm healing lol. He was fine and even had to finish cooking my placents while I fed our then newborn.

Quoting Shaa.Jay.Kali:" Why ingest it?"

You get the most nutrients by ingesting it. Doing the pill method does take away some nutrients, but still works well.

Faster healing, gives you natural energy, prevents ppd, can help your milk supply. Etc.

I have kept both of the boys placentas, I will be taking them up to my grandmothers house one of these days and planting them with a tree or flower that symbolises each of my boys. SO thinks that's weird as hell but he goes along with it.

Though we also have LOs extra thumb in the freezer too so we are just kinda weird that way

I don't think I could do it. I think I'd gag. I have a thoughtful gag reflex haha. If I think about something that's not pleasing I gag.

I don't know how I missed this comment lol but yeah he's been supportive but he's just worried because he's never heard of such things as it's new to me too. He's the only who's really supporting me and that's all I need
