Zpack/bladder infection

I'm pretty sure I have a bladder infection, I have a refill left on a zpack from when I had a sinus infection. Will that work? When I look into it I get mixed answers

i wouldnt think a zpack would work for a bladder infection....

it might. but i would rather see if i could drop some urine off at the doctors office to know for sure if i had one before i took antibiotics.

No the z-pack will not work for a bladder infection. There are typically only 3 medications used for bladder infections - Cipro, Bactrim, or Macrobid. These target more specific symptoms for bladder issues. A z-pack is usually used for a respiratory issue so it will not be effective and may actually complicate things if you take it because it would should not be taken in conjunction with any other antibiotics
