Terrified!!!!

posted 19th Dec
I go at 5am tomorrow for an induction due to GD. I am a complete wreck. Def needing some encouraging words and some GOOD stories to ease my mind. This is my first child and I'm literally freaking out. I am hungry but I can't eat cause when I do I get the smurfs or feel like throwing up. I'm already contracting on my own and dilated to 2 and a half cm and 60% effaced. I just am so scared. Any advice?

Just relax, the more stress your body is in the harder labor is. My induction went great. I'd do it again if I had to. You have to go in with a clear mind, try some breathing exercises.

Yes. Know that anything you're going through right now.... you'll forget tomorrow when you have your adorable little one in your arms. Just relax, even though it's hard! Good luck!

All I can say is try and relax, take it easy. Bring something to distract you from your nerves. I'm sure you'll be okay. You can do it!!! :-)

You will do perfect, don't stress! I was scheduled for an induction, went into labor on my own, then stalled and needed the pitocin anyway. It was a great experience regardless (and this coming from a person that used to hyperventilate thinking about reproducing at all, hahahaha). You might try some pedialyte pops if you feel like going and getting them or sending someone else to. They are still water/ice but better for keeping you hydrated (: Good luck!
