Anywho, it's not the doctor's issue on this one. If she was too tired/stressed/scared to successfully move the baby, surgery may have been the best option. The child could have been stuck or stressed or any multitude of other issues.

The OB's job is to deliver the child while keeping both child and mother as safe and healthy as possible, not make her labor decisions for her.

I have been through labor 3 times, and it didn't get easier each time for me. My first time was very hard, and the nurse upped the epidural meds when I SHOULD have been pushing(they have a "schedule" in that hopsital...first in, first delivered...yes, the nurse actually TOLD me that). My second delivery was fast. My third labor was very fast, but I pushed and pushed, and I WAS exhausted. My doc probably would have opted for a c-section if my MIL hadn't been the one to push me. I actually remember saying "I can't do it. I'm not going to make it." If MIL hadn't been in the room, the doc would have listened and done a c-section.

Okay, so you're pissed off. But if SHE'S not disappointed, you really don't have reason to be either. It wasn't what YOU would have done, okay. If she really is the type of attention seeker, then why does this actually surprise you?

i wasnt saying c sections are any less than vaginal. I was just stating that i was disappointed that the doc just gave in when she should have been encouraging her. whatever, i dont care. i know the situation & how she is as a person, so i can feel however the hell i want.

What you're doing is being a resentful bitch. I was relating MY experience with it. If you really don't care why did you start the vent and then start cussing at people who don't agree with your view. You apparently wanted the whole BG community to say "oh she was such a bitch for wimping out" but YOUR words make YOU look petty and childish.

i never stated it surprised me. its amazing how many words are being put in my mouth.
i stated probably about 6 times now, i was DISAPPOINTED with the way the doctors are so quick to jump to a c section, & her situation is what brought on that thought process.

And it's not really your place to be disappointed. The doctors make decisions based on knowledge that you don't have, so you are not qualified to say a damned word about it.

I don't see how i'm being resentful & I wasn't being bitchy towrds you. I was just stating in general. your situation was exactly what im talking about, Doctors are so retarded sometimes. & I dont care what bg thinks, everyone always jumps on the be a bitch train anyway, so i really could careless.

well based on my dads words, they did it because she was exhausted. thats ridiculous.

it's actually NOT. If she tried to push for hours while exhausted, it could lead to maternal AND fetal distress. I was almost at that point twice. Just because you disagree with it doesn't mean it's a wrong decision or that it's ridiculous.
