Advil vs Tylenol

posted 19th Dec
Which do you for your LO? Do you use something different? Do you not use anything? I normally use Tylenol but MIL got Advil instead. If you use Advil do you like it better?

ETA: The third option is supposed to say I use something different I didn't notice till just now sorry guys....

I will only use Advil with my son. He has so much problems taking Tylenol so I dont even try and just go straight for the Advil.

I alternate both advil and tylenol in my 12 month old. I actually prefer ibuprofen (advil) because it has all the same properties as tylenol and it's an anti inflammatory which could be good if they are teething!

tylenol or ib profin (I don't know if that's the same thing as advil or not).

Both when his doc says to alternate, but advil is what I mainly use. Tylenol sucks and I found does much of nothing for my son. Even for myself I get advil.

And ibuprofen/advil lasts twice as long as tylenol, so if it's for something over night, I prefer to use that.

I do the same. I was told by our family doc that this is preferred if using medicine for an extended amount of time. Of course, every person/baby is different, so you should probably check with your doc to see what they think. =)
