Should I?
posted 19th Dec
Should I wash all the new baby clothes and such before or after my baby shower?
I am 30 weeks now. My baby shower is January 6th and I'll be 33 weeks. When I was pregnant with DD, I had everything washed and ready to go at 27 weeks and she was born at 36 weeks. I'm slacking this time around. I'm nervous that I'll go into labor sooner than I did with DD even though I've had a completely normal and healthy pregnancy with DS (I had a normal healthy pregnancy with DD as well). We already have quite a bit of baby boy clothes thanks to my friends that have had boys. Wash now or wait until after the shower? Hmmm...

I say wash what you have now! Because you may get a ton more cloths, save some time after the shower.

If you have enough for a good load otherwise you can wait. I'll wash early Jan. I also fear that he will come early. Lol

If they're hand-me-downs or things that you can't or won't return regardless of shower gifts, go ahead and wash now.

i voted for after because of dust and stuff. but I guess it doesn't really matter.
I had my first at 37 weeks 2 days and my second at 38 weeks 3 days. I had everything ready at 33 weeks.
