Quoting JiLLiAN.:" Isn't it up to the owner, and not the manager who gets the job/shift? I would call the owner again and talk to them."I tried. I left a voice mail and text him. He said he didn't have time to talk now. He will back the manager, he has never really met with me before and doesn't know me that well.
Quoting JessicaMatlock :" iI would go to HR and the owner.. tell them what coworker and manger are saying"Small company. There is no HR. The owner is the final say.
Quoting diiamondchula:" look up the law in your state . i know in nj when you go on maternity leave you are guarnteed your position ... [snip!] ... when you returned you were not going to have the same job. they will than contact your boss and she will get in alot of trouble"I work in WV and they have no laws for maternity leave. And my company doesn't have to follow federal laws because it is considered a small business. I have already looked into the legal aspect of maternity leave. I was a Business manager and learn a lot about business laws.
Quoting JiLLiAN.:" Isn't it up to the owner, and not the manager who gets the job/shift? I would call the owner again and talk to them."Apparently not. The manager has full control of the business. She is the only one in charge and apparently we aren't allowed to challenge her.
