It's been a while since I've updated, but not much has changed up until now.
River Lyn is doing great! She is meeting all her goals and milestones we have set for her with her PT. Her tort is pretty much completely gone, even though she can still turn her head freakishly all the way to her left... but she is now also turning to her right and keeps her head looking straight. One shoulder still sits a little lower than the other, though.
She is crawling like a pro and is now pulling up to stand with the assistance of our sofa, and she can cruise while holding on to the edge. I still feel it may be a while before she walks on her own or even takes her first steps, though. She just seems too cautious to even want to try.
We FINALLY got in to see a neurosurgeon for her plagiocephaly. She wrote River a script and we went to see the prosthetic folks for her cranial molding helmet. They did an evaluation on her and said that at her age it may not help much, but it doesn't hurt to try. We've been trying to get her seen since 6 months. Finally at nearly 11 months she's going to get her helmet! She was approved by her insurance and will get fitted on the 31st!
Here are a few photos of her appointment the other day while getting the casting done. She was such a trooper, and made the practitioners laugh their asses off as she just sat there and "hummed" while they did the casting.

I am so happy. But to be honest I still would have been happy even if she was not approved. Her plagiocephaly is minimal compared to what I have seen in other babies, and I'm just blessed that she's healthy and such a happy girl. She has so much hair anyway, that whatever her helmet can't correct, her hair will cover it up.
And here are just a few more recent photos of my princess.

Merry Christmas!
