Tonsil,adnoids taken out

My 7 yr old had them taken out yesterday and weve been trying ecerything to soothe the "fire" in her throat so she can drink and it not hurt .. When ur los had theres out what did u use to help them swallow? Please I need some suggestions

The dr sent Cylus home with pain meds but we just did slightly warm stuff. We foudn the cold stuff hurt

They sent sandy home with tylonal w/codine(sp) Ill try this

yeap that is what they sent Cy home iwth. We were doingit 1/2 an hr before the schedule time to reduce the pain. Also if we did ice packs on the outside of his throat it helped some.
