<blockquote><b>Quoting Missie93:</b>" I was interested in using a menstrual cup instead of tampon, but I heard that using a cup with an IUD is difficult. Any of you ladies use one with an IUD? "</blockquote>
I've never heard you can't. i''ll never go back to tampons. Shoving cotton inside me sounds/feels primitive and gross now.
I also have the paraguard. I almost called my midwife before trying the cup for the first time but then got busy and forgot. Never thought about accidentally pulling it out. I have been using it for 6 months now with no problems but I had my midwife cut my string pretty short because it bugged DH. *Shrugs* I will NEVER use another tampon as long as I live!!!
Quoting Moose's Mama:" I was told to be really careful with menstrual cups. When you remove them, the suction may pull the IUD out. ETA there is some Dr. that recommend certain cups that have less suction"
Easy fix, always break suction before pulling down on cup. I have the Lunette cup and all you have to do is pinch it, the cup part not the part that sticks out!
