soo many questions!

Hello, Im kind of nervous about posting this subject because I read the almost the same thing from a different user and the ladies on here were SOOOO mean. But I wanted to get friendly advice and or other stories that are similar. See Im 38 weeks pregnant, opted for a Csection for next week for medical reasons, being I have HORRIBLE HORRIBLE hips... was in the process of getting them fixed when I found out I was pregnant. Anyway, other then that Im having a very healthy pregnancy. Well I went to my Dr thinking Im in labor, contractions were killing me but they were false labor. When he examined me he mentioned how low my baby is getting and how Im still 1cm dialated and effacing. But his worries was directed to the increasing amount of pressure on my hips. These puppies crack, snap at pop when I DO anything!! And if on them for longer then an hour the pain is unbearable.I know pelvic pain and hip pain is common, but I literally feel like a saw is slowly just cutting me in half. Anyway, he had mentioned that it was an option to have the csection before my scheduled date of the 26th with however a amnio to che k lung development. I want to get it done because I can't move.. literally stuck in bed. But I just feel like a bad person, a bad selfish person. Any advice? *** please if you have nothing nice to say DO NOT respond. Im looking for advice not for crude peoole, if I wanted that I would've posted on Facebook

If you're 38 weeks right now and healthy pregnancy/baby, I don't see an issue with having him any time.

You're full term and it's medical! If you need to, get it done. It's for no one to say except you- YOU know how much pain you're in! It's not like you're 32 weeks or something.
At the same time though, it's important to realize how important it is to bake that baby as long as possible, but I'm sure you've looked into that.
Good luck with what you chose, mamma! Wish I could help.

Well I'd think if your doctor knows of your condition, and physical capabilities, he'd have you in sooner if need be. But aside from that, I have horrible hips my entire life, and then I went and got pinned hip to hip between two cars :-/ so I know your pain, but honestly if your hips are too bad for natural labor I'd wait it out for the cesarean.

Sounds like you should delete some people off your FB lol. As for the rest, I personally would wait untill atleast 39 weeks or more. The longer your little one cooks the better. I know it is hard, but its only a couple weeks. Some mama's are on bed rest for their whole pregnancy. IMO you should hold off as long as you possibly can. Good luck!

If they have to do a amnio it would still put you about the 26th before you have the baby...at least in mycase it took about 4 days to hear anything back and that was rushed, welli guess it would be before the 26th but do what you feel is necessary. Good luck to you!

Also, if it were me, and everything was healthy, no issues, I would NOT get an amnio. I don't feel it's neccessary after 38 weeks if there are no other indications of any issues.

You're 38 weeks and it's for a legitimate medical reason. Personally, I would probably go for it. I don't think I would have the amnio done though. I would assume that the baby would have minimal problems being born at 38 weeks.

I agree on no amnio. If you can tough it out, do, if not talk to your doctor.

Thank you ladies!! Im just stuck in a pickle because I really want to wait it out, but the pain is just getting worse and worse.. doing the most simple things are the biggest chore now, my Dr however won't do an early c sectio without doing the amnio because she would be delivered before 39 weeks.. to double check her lungs.

That's really weird. It's really not neccessary unless you know baby isn't growing right. Well, can you wait 7 more days? Just lay in bed the rest of the week!!

Im thinking of doing that honestly, because it just feels like the right thing to do... well we will see what the Dr says Friday if he still recommends it or if he agrees that we should just wait.. I mean I don't think my hips will fall off with in those five days lol even though they feel like it 96% of the time! Lol
