Side work...

So, I'm not receiving child support and the court just now issued a date for our hearing which isn't until April. I work in home health care as an RN but my hours are so inconsistent! I have been working with this company for 6 months and have only reached my 40 hours/week twice now. I put in like 10 applications at local hospitals and nursing homes today because I drove all the way to work to find out I wasn't needed today, or tomorrow...and the same with next week because of the holidays.

Does anyone have advice for side work? At this point I won't be able to pay utilities or anything. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ladies.

Keep filling out apps. Have you tried going though a agency for nursing?

I don't know a lot about agencies. I have tried to contacting travel agencies but Indiana doesn't have privileges to other states. I put in about 10 applications today.
