I just don't understand why you're so intent on wanting to go into labor now. Granted I don't know what "complications" you've had, but your doctor EXPECTING you to have complications because you're small and want a natural delivery is ridiculous and sad. That's so discouraging for a mama to hear and it sounds like he's really inconsiderate. Do you have a doula?

Very true. . . I guess part of it is that I miss everything. I mean, I haven't been able to sleep in the same room as my husband since August. My stepkids hate me because I can't do everything with them that I was used to doing with them. The depression that came with my pregnancy is just overwhelming, and i can't take anything to help it due to the effects it would have on her, before and after pregnancy since I am breastfeeding. That, and with doc telling me to try to go into labor, I'm going insane lol

A person you hire to help support you during labor and to help be a voice for you. Statistically, having a doula increases your chances of a successful natural birth by a huge amount.

Oh. No. I've never heard of that. But I don't have the money to do that anyway.

I know how you feel. You just need to reconnect with DH. It'll make a big difference when you have more support. I've been fighting with depression for years now, I've been off my medicine for a while now and I know how it feels. But you just have to continue to think about the beautiful baby you'll be blessed with soon. If you ever wanna talk feel free to PM me.

Omg.. there are so many stupid rude comments on here.. that i would just assume everyone is being a smartA.. but anyway, i know how the original poster feels.. but after visiting my DR yesterday.. he says 39 weeks is totally acceptable to have a baby whether the baby comes on his own or whether the DR attempts to induce via drugs, sweeps, or whatever...

It's rude for people to insult other mommies especially when there are so many people on this site inducing before their due date bc the doctor is going on vacation, bc they dont wanna ruin other siblings christmas, family coming into town, etc... All of those reasons are equally as stupid and selfish..

It's frustrating when those who are anxious, but patiently waiting express desires to have LO here soon and then get bashed.. i agree the baby will come when he's ready.. but statistically speaking, according to my DR, who i believe more than anyone on here, the baby is perfectly fine at 39 weeks..

Every other website says.. 37 weeks is full term including this one on the calendar.. and i been quoted what march of dimes says.. but i dont see anything wrong with someone getting anxious at 38 weeks.

Well seeing as an ESTIMATED DUE DATE CAN BE OFF is the main reason people get bashed. And because your smurftard doctor will shoot drugs through your body at 39 weeks because Your smurfing anxious doesn't mean your baby will be healthy and ready... And doesnt mean thats how it goes.
