In the hospital, holding this little princess. Sorry for the run on sentences  

Started at 4 cm & 50% effaced, Arrived at the hospital at 9:00 on Monday morning, started pitocin at 11:00. Waited & got checked at 3:30 was a 5-6. Checked again at 7:30 & was a 7. Decided to go ahead and arrange the epidural- still was feeling wonderful at this point. Got the epidural- & they checked me around 8:30 and I was at an 8 & 90% effaced. Was so excited at that point & then I started feeling hot & clammy and all I can remember is I had 4 doctors and 3 nurses in the room rushing to put medicine in my IV for really low blood pressure & Violet's HR dropped. So I was flipped & given oxygen & everything was normal. Very common reaction to the Epi- but as a worry wart I couldn't relax. I was an absolute basket case from this point on & kept bugging my husband to check my BP & her HR(which was perfect the rest of the time) started feeling pressure around 10ish- called the doctor around 10:15 & she checked and I was complete. Everything was set up started pushing at 10:30 and after four sets of contractions, she came right out on the last push @ 10:59 Very smooth labor & awesome birth.. Felt great! My husband and I were completely overjoyed and I just remember asking "so is she really a girl?"   she looks just like Carter did & we feel so blessed and complete. Carter met his sister for the first time yesterday and held her. Kissed her three times & was back to his monster trucks. Really hoping when we get home today he copes well! She's got a little jaundice like Carter did, other than that we're perfect. Thanks for reading!!
