TMI alert!

Ok so I'm right at 6 weeks PP and I just started my first period 3 days ago. I'm bleeding so much that I've had to use the pads they sent me home from the hospital with after having my son! I sit on the toilet and literally feel blood just running like someone turned a faucett on. Is this normal???

I would definitely be contacting the hospital if I were you.

Your first PP period is the worst. It could be your period, mixed with some left over afterbirth blood.

Also the general rule is, if you are filling a pad an hour, thats when you need to worry.

This happened to me after more than 1 pregnancy! My 10 th baby , I started My 1st period at 4 weeks PP and it was horrific- I did go to get checked and confirmed a first heavy period..Just call your OB they will instruct you on what to do..I too had to use those diapers they give us after delivery =(

Thanks ladies. I did call my doctor & they agreed that the first was the worst. They also said to give it a day or two more and see if it slows down.

Well I hope it slows down for you. My first wasn't bad at all so I couldn't compare lol.
