People who know about anxiety attack plz hellpp!!

posted 18th Dec
Ok so I just got back from overseas and I have had problems with anxiety attacks in the past but now since I've been back I have been getting these random rushes... I'll just be in a store doing my normal thing and then BOOM! I feel a rush from my head to toe, my heart starts racing, my eyes get blurry, I feel like I'm just going to pass out and die or my heart is going to stop. I have been able to deal with anxiety attacks for awhile now but since I've been back home I am getting them in a way I never have before and every time I get one its worse than the last. I was just in walmart and had the feeling and it was the first time that I really honestly said to myself ok this is it my heart is going to stop. It's the worst feeling in the world and I don't know what to do!?! My hand were shaking so bad I couldn't even dial on my cell phone!!

I would talk to my doctor about it. There might be an underlying medical issue causing your anxiety.

It used to happen to me about every 3 months. It's awful. I would seriously feel like I was dying. You need to get on anxiety medications or start with counseling at the very least. I'm sorry!!

I used to have that happen every time I left the house. I got a therapist and she taught me different breathing techniques to handle it. I also take Zoloft.

Yes it's the worst feeling ever and especially when it is so severe it's like my chest is going up and down on a roller coaster and my heart is racing and I can't do anything about it... I just took a xanax because that's what I was prescribed for my anxiety attacks but it just has never gotten this far with me before.. .

I have them every time I leave the house. I have them 10-15 times a day. Even if I don't leave the house. Alot of things trigger mine.

My heart races, feel like I can't breathe, my head gets lightheaded, my stomach feels like I'm going to throw up, I cry.

I take Lexapro, Buspar, Remeron and Ativan on a scheduled basis. Sometimes I take a Vistaril/Benadryl. I also have deep breaths and think to myself I'm not in any danger right now.

I used to have them and it was pretty severe, I got them on a daily basis. However, it was environmental.. I was an adolescent living in a pretty abusive situation with severe stress and chaos constantly. When I was able to move out on my own and live a calmer life they subsided.

I just started it a couple weeks ago, but I can already tell it's helping. I feel more motivated and a little calmer about things. The side effects are going away now, but they were terrible the first week. I constantly felt drugged up. Couldn't even drive lol. It gave me a headache, and was a little nauseous. Thank goodness they're going away!!

oh good! I was just curious because when my anxiety got bad I was afraid the side effects of meds would be worse lol. Right now I drink chamomile tea and it works wonders since my anxiety is very mild.
