re: Sending your kid back to school?

I have problems with PTSD from losing my daughter and almost my life 6 years ago. Because of it, I live in constant fear most of the time (and these shootings, do NOT help!) I have horrible insomnia and am always looking out my window at every noise (often with some type of weapon in my hand) or checking out eveything around me. I can't even take a shower without thinking of ways I would protect myself if something were to go down right then. I don't get out of the house much because of it and don't have many friends since I stay indoors mostly. I hate it. I don't want my kids to ever feel the way I do or even close to it. So for now, I have made the decision (which is very hard with my PTSD, especially with one of my fears is losing another child.) to send my son back to school and will continue to do so. I want him to be able to think the world is a happy place as long as he can. I think he already knows of some bad in the world, and I doubt it will be very long before he knows the truth. I am glad there is only 3 days left of school before the break though! Friday is my son's Christmas party, so I will be at his school with him. (As well as every parent in his class since they all volunteered. lol) He is only in Pre-k so luckily I only have 3 hours of the day to worry until next year when his school day is longer. Next year, both my boys will be in school. I figured, next year I will decide how I feel when that time comes.
