Well i was watching one of the shows. One womans daughter died from the measles(sp) because she was too young to vaccinate she was exposed to it by one of her playmates whos mother refused to vaccinate him. The playmates mother went on trial for the murder of the little girl. Right or wrong?

I watched that one too and it pissed me off, no she shouldn't have gone to trial. She didn't know her kid was sick when he was at the playground and she has a right to not vaccinate if she doesn't want to.

I say right AND wrong. She was found not guilty if I remember that correctly, but still... If you want to not-vaccinate, that's your choice-- but keep your child away from kids too young to be vaccinated (if they've been exposed to one of the illnesses.)

I agree with you i was kinda torn in my opinion on that and yes she was found not guilty. My aunt thought she should have been found guilty...

Nope. Would you charge a parent who recently vaccinated their child with the MMR and passed measles on to another child? MMR sheds. Up to 28 days. Meaning, the live virus is inside of them, and can very easily spread to other children. But, we don't want to "incriminate" those parents because they were just doing what they were told, we only want to incriminate the parents who are making a choice they believe is best for THEIR child.
