i really need to know plz read

So I had an abortion Oct. 15. My period started exactly 4 weeks after. I went to my Dr and got BC pills. I'm on the third week. 3 days after I start taking my pills I been having sex regularly and I thought the pill effective right away until my friend told me to late that its not effective until I start my second pack. And now I'm scared I could be pregnant. I continue to take my pills everyday. My Dr didn't even tell me no info on the pills.....smh. I know my period is late doubt know if its from BC or pregnant????

Maybe you shouldn't be having sex.

I think they say to wait 2 weeks. You should be fine

my doc told me 7 days.

It COULD be possible that your period might change with everything that's been going on. but if you're late, I would test just to make sure. .

Well she just had an abortion so she's going to risk getting knocked up again right away so she can go have another abortion. Or maybe use some other form of protection like condoms.

I've never heard it's not good until the second pack. I do know it's not effective immediately though. I want to say a week, but it's been like 3 or 4 years since I took the pill, and I only took it for a couple of months and switched.

OP, every pill is different. Some are effective after a couple of days, some aren't until the second month.
